Landmarks Conservancy

The Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy is a
non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed to preserve, protect and
promote Jersey City's historic sites, buildings and districts. Among its
activities, the Landmarks Conservancy is leading a major historic
preservation campaign for the 1906 Hudson & Manhattan Railroad
Powerhouse, which is currently being considered for entry into the State
& National Registers of Historic places. Additionally, the Landmarks
Conservancy recently released their first annual Landmarks At Risk list,
and plans to sponsor historic walking tours throughout Jersey City
during National Preservation Week, May 13-19th, 2001.
